Chapter 4: Situation Analysis

This chapter is good, following the needs analysis. Because after we list all the needs of stakeholders in a language program, then we would be able to follow through with any situation that might come up in the program.
I like this chapter because it helps language program planners to plan for situations that might come up that may need some adjustments or solutions for a language program. Some program planners may overlook some possible problems when implementing a language program.

The chapter went over each stakeholder's possible situation: societal factors, project factors, institutional factors, teacher factors, learner factors, and adoption factors. Then possible solutions or ideas were written.

This chapter was good to read because keeps our mind open to any situation that may occur and so a solution to the problem could be discussed.

These question keep coming up in my head since last weeks class time: Why is curriculum development class important for us to take? How will it effect/affect our teaching? How is it relevent for our program?

I know it is a good class and I'm enjoying it, but these questions keep coming up because they weren't really answered last week. Or if they were answered, I didn't hear them.
I'm really curious as to how this curriculum development class is relevent to our situation as classroom teachers.
